The federal government has failed to fully implement half the recommendations in the last decade from the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) to fix safety gaps in Canada's air transportation system, according to an analysis by Canwest News Service.

Richard Nissen, of Plymouth is 92 and in hospice care for cancer. This year’s gathering of Pearl Harbor survivors on the Cape may be his last, prompting him to think a lot about that time in his life. “I’ve been lucky,” he says.

- Blue Horizons movie; Republic Seabee seaplane Milwaukee Wisconsin 1950: This delightful short film was the creation of a small group of amateur film makers right after World War II. They assembled in Milwaukee and decided to create a film for the Milwaukee Amateur Movie Makers annual competition, held each year at the Shorewood High School. The film won ?Best of Show? in January, 1950. Walter F. Chappelle Jr. and Dr. Art Hankwitz headed the group. It would feature Dr. Hankwitz?s family and aircraft, a Republic RC-3 Seabee amphibian.
